Latest arrival to Maun, to join the convoy to Mmatsebe, is by Friday at 2:30pm.
The last flights from JHB & CPT land by 1:45pm.

We will be taking two convoys of guests from Maun to Mmatsebe on game vehicles: 8am on Friday morning and 2:30pm Friday afternoon.
Flights to and from Maun
Airlink, Air Botswana and CemAir offer direct flights from JHB and CPT to Maun.
We recommend Airlink as the most reliable airline of the three.

JHB to Maun
Airlink have 2 flights from JHB to Maun. The 1 hour 40 minute flight departs at 10h55 and 12h05.
The return flights to JHB depart from Maun at 13h15 and 14h30.
Flights are approximately R10,000 return per person.
Cape Town to Maun
There is one flight from Cape Town to Maun per day departing at 10h35 with Airlink.
The return flight departs from Maun at 13h50.

DRIVING TO MMATSEBE

A 4 x 4 vehicle is required and the drive takes 3.5-hours’ from Maun.
If you're coming from elsewhere, it is a 4-hour drive from Savuti or 20-minutes from Moremi North Gate and the Khwai village.

Driving to Maun
If you're opting to drive to Maun - enjoy the road trip! But kindly let us know if you'd like to drive yourself to Mmatsebe so we can better understand volume of cars and feel assured you'll get from A to B safely.

We'll send detailed instructions for those option to drive themselves to Mmatsebe closer to the time. The drive is 3-4 hours and includes a few rough roads, thick sand and some water crossings.
Routes & Tips
From South Africa to Maun, we generally recommend Martin's Drift/Groblersberg border post.
Couple of tips:
- Once you cross the border, fill up with fuel when you get the chance as there are long stretches of road without a petrol station.

- Speeding fines are heeectic so don't chance it when driving through towns

Where to Stay in Maun
If you find yourself in Maun before or after the wedding, we recommend two spots to lay your head. One is more modest than the other, with Grays Eden for those after a boujee upgrade.
Maun has a few cool places to enjoy a drink or something to eat. We recommend Mark's Eatery, Dusty Donkey, The Duck, and Tandurei.

If you're not driving yourself, there's an insane amount of taxis that cruise the roads - throw a stone in any direction and you'll hit a Honda Fit ready to give you a lift!
